Pastor Woodard:

Grew up in Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.


Attended Bethany College, Lindsborg Ks (Graduated 1970)

Attended Southern Seminary, Columbia SC (Graduated 1974)


Served fulltime  as  pastor in churches in Ft Lauderdale Fla,. Dallas NC, Granite Quarry NC and Hickory NC.

Retired from full time ministry in July 2013.


Married to Marsha (Williams) Woodard for 43 years

One daughter (Ashley) who lives in Winston Salem.

Deborah "Deb" Johnson

Deborah was born on February 19, 1953 in Christiansburg, Virginia.

Parents: Aaron K. and Madeline (Bledsoe) Johnson. Siblings: Rebecca Rowland, Glenda Thornton, Michael Johnson, Connie Worth, Timothy Johnson.

Education: Park University, Parkville, MO—Bachelors of Art in Management, 1994; New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM, Masters in Social Work, 1997; Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, SC, Masters of Art in Religion, 2004.

Deb was consecrated in March 2014 by N. C. Synod.

Career: United States Air Force: 1972- 1994; San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries (Program Director), 1998-2004; Children’s Advocacy & Protection Center (Executive Director), 2004-2014. Deb’s home congregation is St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Conover, NC.

She is currently working part time with OUTright Youth of Catawba Valley and is serving at AGAPE (Mission Congregation) in Gastonia, NC. Deb is the proud mom of a yellow lab – Helen!
